梅子林復育啟承日 Project Plum Grove Old House Re-launch

自2020年起，中大在 #鄉郊保育資助計劃 的支持下，開展了梅子林復育計劃。第一期項目以就地取材、輕巧建築和共創參與三大原則，進行了實驗性活化，並取得了階段性成功，研究團隊接而獲得「梅子林復育計劃二期: 永續鄉村社區老屋修復計劃」資助。

過去一年半，研究團隊致力於復修沙頭角梅子林村的老屋。二期項目總結了第一期的復修經驗，在活化技術和設計上做到新舊糅合。修復後的老屋將成為梅子林村的「#鄉村社區合作社」，提供優化的室內設施以滿足社區需求，並舉辦各種社區營造活動，推動梅子林村的永續發展。

老屋將於今年九月開幕，並命名為「#梅子林復育啟承日」，寓意承先啟後，開展鄉村活化新里程。誠邀你一同前來慶賀，共同參與和展望梅子林村的永續發展願景！

Since 2020, CUHK has launched Project Plum Grove with the support of the Countryside Conservation Funding Scheme. During the first phase, the project adopted three main principles: in-situ, light-touch, and co-creating. The successful experimental restoration led to Phase II: Restoring the Old House for the Village Community.

Over the past eighteen months, our research team has been dedicated to the restoration of the Old House at Mui Tsz Lam Village, Sha Tau Kok. By summarizing the experience from Phase I, the project successfully merged traditional and modern techniques and design. The restored Old House will serve as Mui Tsz Lam’s “Village Community Hub”, with optimized indoor facilities catering to community needs. Various community-building activities will be organized to achieve the sustainable revitalization of Mui Tsz Lam Village.
